We were very excited to christen MSC Bellissima, our newest ship, on 2nd March 2019 in Southampton, with wonderful support from TV presenter Holly Willoughby, three-time Grammy Award-winner Nile Rodgers and pop-sensation Craig David. Bellissima means ‘possessing intense beauty and  delighting the senses and we feel she certainly lives up to her name! At 315.8 meters long and 43 meters wide, she is the largest vessel in our fleet, capable of hosting up to 5,700 guests and featuring 20 stunning bars and 10 amazing restaurants. One of our favourite things about MSC Bellissima is the special guest we have onboard: our artificial intelligence powered helper ‘Zoe’! She speaks seven languages and is able to respond to 800 of our guests’ most frequently asked questions with thousands of varying answers for each one – all you need to do is say ‘OK Zoe’.  
                                 

Behind the scenes: creative process of Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows revealed 
We are delighted to reveal that guests onboard MSC Bellissima can enjoy two thrilling new shows by Cirque du Soleil, the world leader in live entertainment. These two shows use unique concepts, storylines, characters, makeup, music, staging and sound effects. Coupled with a thorough casting progress and rigorous planning, they are wonderfully distinctive and intimate.
Syma will transport you deep into a fantasy which delves into the heart of an imaginary world. Here, you will be taken on a quest to discover a magical island filled with phantasmagorical creatures. The show’s creativity is outstanding, with immersive video images, magical acrobatics, bioluminescent lighting and an original set design. This also makes the show a truly extraordinary and unforgettable experience.
Varélia is a futuristic take on a traditional medieval tale. It is a story of modern chivalry where the greatest divisions are triumphed by love and courage (as they should be!). The show features a humorous cartoon-esque world, along with creative acrobatic feats, a laser show and a unique set design – any audience is sure to be entertained!

In addition to its impressive size, MSC Bellissima is stylish in design and the intricate attention-to-detail marks it apart from other cruise ships. The vessel features a 96m Galleria Bellissima central promenade, which provides an excellent area for relaxation, whilst visits to the atmosphere pool and Aurea Spa are an absolute must. Prepare to be dazzled by the Swarovski staircase with its 61,000 clear Octagon and Pear components incorporated in a walkable mirrored glass panel.
As well as the vessel’s magical features, there is a wealth of entertainment! A Grand Canyon-themed aquapark is one of our personal favorites, offering three fantastic waterslides. For children (and the young-hearted!), there is a magic school. For those who fancy themselves as the future pop-idols, there is a karaoke bar. A bowling alley and a Formula 1 simulator are just a couple of other exciting activities to choose from.
MSC Bellissima has an outstanding itinerary, which will transport visitors to a variety of exciting destinations. In Summer 2019 the ship will tour the Mediterranean, departing from buzzing cities including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples and Messina. She will set sail again from Genoa, Barcelona, Marseille Hamad Port and Dubai for the winter of 2019-2020.
