The car park for MSC Cruises passengers at Port Canaveral cruise port is located next to the MSC Cruises terminal - cruise terminal 10. If driving from Orlando, take State Road 528 eastwards until it becomes State Road A1A. When you see signs for 'A' terminals, exit on to State Road 401. Drive north on State Road 401 and follow signs for cruise terminal 10. The cruise terminal will be on your left and the car park will be on your right.
If driving from the north or south of Florida, take the I-95 highway until exit 205, following signs to Port Canaveral. You will then join State Road 528. Follow signs to cruise terminal 10.
There is no direct rail service to Port Canaveral. However, there is an Amtrak service to Orlando, which is located around 50 miles west of the cruise port. To reach the cruise terminal from the Orlando Amtrak station, you can take a taxi, which should take around 55 minutes.
Most visitors will fly into Orlando International Airport, which is located south-east of central Orlando and approximately 46 miles west of Port Canaveral cruise port. The easiest way to get to the cruise terminal from Orlando International Airport is to book an MSC Cruises transfer service through the MSC Cruises call centre. You can also take a taxi, which takes around 45 minutes.
If renting a car and driving to Port Canaveral, take the north exit from the airport and connect to State Road 528 (east) by staying right. Continue towards Port Canaveral, taking exit 54A for 'A' cruise terminals. Follow signs to terminal 10.

Orlando is located inland, around 50 miles from the eastern coast of Florida, so there are no beaches within the city itself. However, there are a number of beaches near to the Port Canaveral cruise port. These include the beachy stretches spread across the vast coastline of the Canaveral National Seashore, as well as Cocoa Beach, located around eight miles from the Port Canaveral cruise port.
Known far and wide for its surfing opportunities (as well as its prime swimming and sunbathing spots), Cocoa Beach will likely be the top choice for many visitors to Port Canaveral. This laid-back beach town is loved for its first-rate beach access, and also houses excellent restaurants and bars (as well as surf shops), many with ocean views.
If you have just one day in Orlando, spending time at one of its many famous theme parks is a must. Walt Disney World is perhaps the headline attraction, and you can certainly see a lot during a day, but also consider visiting somewhere a little smaller (such as Universal Studios, SeaWorld or LEGOLAND), so that you can pack more in to your time.
You could then head to downtown Orlando and make the most of the area's array of shops, restaurants and arts venues. End the day at one of the region's many beaches for an early evening dip in warm waters.
