Paolo Tarantino, MSC Fleet Corporate Chef, is an accomplished Food Operations Management professional and skilled Chef, with vast experience implementing and directing small to large volume food operations on board luxury cruise ships as well as in hotels and restaurants.
Paolo joined the MSC family in 2005 and is now the Fleet Corporate Chef, supervising a team of professional Corporate Chefs and all our galley personnel.
Born in Milan, Italy, Paolo was fascinated with the culinary world from a very young age. After completing his studies at a hotel school in Milan, he eagerly set out on his culinary career, showing real passion and a willingness to learn. Initially Paolo specialized in the pastry arts, working in a small patisserie in the heart of Milan. Having completed his training, he was taken by the desire to explore every area of cuisine and decided to combine his two great passions – travel and cooking.
He therefore set off to start his career in prestigious luxury restaurants and hotels across Italy and Europe, where he gained essential culinary knowledge working under renowned Italian and international chefs.
Given his great love for the sea, Paolo joined the galley teams of well-known and respected cruise companies, including Princess Cruises, Disney Cruise Lines (Opening Team) and Crystal Cruises.
