Enjoy the Year-Round Warmth, Beauty and Flavors of the Caribbean
The Caribbean is more than colorful sea life, sugar-soft sands and charming pastel architecture––its year-round sunshine and rich soils are home to abundant plant life, brilliant flowers and tropical fruits.

The endless summer found in the Caribbean offers not only the opportunity to enjoy a vacation full of sun and sea, it also favors the cultivation of luscious fruits, flowers and beneficial plants. Your explorations may begin with a cruise out of Miami any time of the year aboard MSC Divina to lush destinations such as St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Mexico, St. Thomas and the Cayman Islands. If wild orchids are your passion, San Juan’s eco-kayak excursion offers a glimpse of these beauties hidden in a landscape of waterfalls, giant ferns and tropical hardwoods. Or you can walk the cobbled streets of San Juan to taste café con leche and learn the history of coffee, a major crop on the island.

MSC Divina also visits Falmouth, Jamaica where guests can enjoy a rainforest canopy adventure with stunning views of an 18th century plantation’s orange groves. Jamaica and other Caribbean islands also have sugarcane plantations used in processing rum. On St. Maarten you can sample the local specialty, Guavaberry rum. Or we can mix up a mojito with sugarcane juice and lime in one of MSC Divina’s many bars and lounges. And for a healthy tropical drink, stop by the MSC Aurea Spa Bar for a smoothie made from fresh pineapple, mango and coconut.

MSC Cruises also offers itineraries in the Southern Caribbean, known as the Antilles, aboard MSC Musica from December through March. You can depart from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic or Fort de France, Martinique. If you are a connoisseur of chocolate, a shore excursion from Santo Domingo leads to a cocoa farm where you can watch skilled chocolatiers roast and grind cocoa beans. Then you can tour an organic cocoa processing plant and enjoy a taste of hand-made chocolate. And in St. John’s, Antigua you can stroll Fig Tree Drive lined with a wealth of fruit-bearing trees, then sample the seasonal fruit.

In the Caribbean, the unspoiled beauty of nature and tropical delights are yours to enjoy by land and by sea, every month of the year.
