Ubatuba is located on the southeast coast of Brazil in the state of São Paulo. The city name (pronounced ‘ooba-Tuba’) comes from the Tupi word ‘uyba’ or ‘canoes’ and ’tuba’ meaning ‘many’.

Ubatuba is historically significant as it is where the Portuguese signed the first treaty of peace of the Americas with the Tupinamba Indians, which kept Brazil in Portuguese hands, retaining one language and one faith.

Today Ubatuba is a key vacation destination for wealthy Brazilians and visitors from all over the world who are attracted by Ubatuba’s 70-odd beaches. Depart from the pier for a navigation once done by the discoveries of Brazil. The Portuguese ships, called naus, visited Ubatuba shores in 1530, where historic Brazil portraits were draw. In the Cruzeiro beach, the Jesuit priest Jose da Anchieta wrote the famous "Versos a Virgem", also that´s where the first America peace treated was signed and it became known as "Iperoig peace". In our route, we will pass by the beaches of Itagua, Cruzeiro, Matarazzo, Pereque, Barra Seca, Vermelha do norte and praia do Alto. The tour also includes a swimming stop at the Cedrinho beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Ubatuba coast. Snorkeling equipment will be available for rent onboard the schooner. Remarks: Due to the protect ecosystem environment in the island and many clean and running water from waterfalls, it is common in the island a small insect called "Borrachudo". Repellents are available at the local stores. This excursion is not advisable for guests with any type of insect allergy. Guests with physical disability will have to stay onboard the schooner at the beach stops. This excursion will not be cancelled due to weather conditions (rain) but it is subjected to sea conditions. Depart from the pier for a 30 minutes panoramic sailing to Cedro Beach, for a unique opportunity to discover the region´s under water life. On the way you will enjoy one of the most preserved shore lines of the Brazilian coast with the preserved "Mata Atlantica". At the Cedro Beach, the boat will drop anchor for an unforgettable snorkeling to see underwater fauna and flora and with a little bit of luck the fish called "little sergeant", a nick name due to the straps on his body. Relax and enjoy in a protected and excellent bay for snorkeling. Remarks: The snorkel equipment is included in the value of the excursion. This excursion has no life-guard. The depth at the place where the boat anchors may vary between 2 and 5 meters. We recommend this tour for guests who can swim and good physical condition. Passing by viewpoints in the Ubatuba mountain with indescribable views in a breath taking sequence.  Don´t forgot to bring your camera, as besides the views you will be able to spot interesting specimens of the local fauna and flora. In this excursion you will understand why Ubatuba is considered a nature treasure in the world. After the mountain views (where your ship will be spotted from different angles), a stop at the headquarters of State park "Serra do Mar" to visit the Fazenda Beach, a unique experience to visit a complete unspoiled and protected beach. At the welcome center called "Picinguaba Nucleo", you will be briefed about the park, it´s interaction with the called "Mosaico da Bocaina", as well as it´s fauna & flora life. Next stop will be at the Almada beach with an amazing beauty, besides its geographical position as it is a beach that actually faces the west. We will pass by high viewpoints, so do not forgot your camera! Right at the arrival in the famous Almada beach in the road, a spectacular view of the Ubatumirim bay will be ahead of us. Almada is divided in two beaches; on the right side is Almada and on the left side is Engenho beach. In front of the beach there will be little pigs island and almost the entire Ubatuba coast will be visible from the beach. Almada also faces the west and a variety of bars and restaurants offering the local cuisine will be available. It was first settled by the Portuguese in 1667. Its old churches, cobbled streets and nearby forests, waterfalls, islands and emerald-green sea attract lots of tourists interested in mixing cultural tourism and more natural settings. Located only 70 kilometers from Ubatuba, the road (the former Rio/Santos) is considered one of the most beautiful of the entire Brazilian coast. This amazing former federal road reserves unbelievable views, among a very well preserved area (across the "Serra do Mar" State Park). Once in Paraty, our guide will show you the historical buildings, talk about some secret symbols, visit the main sites and shops, and show why Paraty is so charming and famous. Do not forget your camera for this unique opportunity to visit one of the most famous Brazilian cities from the colonial times. Two itineraries of amazing scenarios are available. The first one will take you towards the Ilha Anchieta State Park,. In this itinerary we will pass by the most important beaches of Ubatuba, like the Vermelho do Centro, Tenorio Grande e Tonihas. The Anchieta island is most visited park in the state of Sao Paulo, considered one of the most conserved unities open for the public. With a good infra-structure, the island offers innumerous hiking tracks and paradisiacal beaches. After the island we will make a stop at the amazing Sete Fontes beach with innumerous bars and restaurants. The other option is to sail noth to the most preserved shoreline of the state of Sao Paulo. With untouched coast that reminds the colonization era, we will pass by amazing places and our first stop will be at the Prumirim island, a calm beach with white sand and crystal clear waters. This is the "Pousada da Cachoeira", a property located in the hearth of the serra do mar state park, with nine waterfalls, and there is much more inside this magic place. Eco hiking, bird watching, pool, sports courtyard, small farm for the kids, football field, besides and infra-structure of bar and restaurant. And for the more adventurous, there are options or radical sports, such as, Rope Bridge, Zip line (tirolesa) and rappel. Remarks: Due to the protected ecosystem environment in the property and its many clean and running water from waterfalls, it is common the presence of mosquitoes and other insects. The usage of insect repellents is recommended. Guests with any walking difficult must stay in the water falls, or choose for the light tracks if wishing to do hiking.

After disembarking for your ship, a local staff will greet you and your family at the Itagua beach for all instructions of the stand-up paddle. After the instructions you will be able to enjoy this unique moment. Due to its easy handling, it is accessible to all ages, besides to offer a directly contact with nature. Imagine yourself gliding through the waters, driven by your own rowing. The sensation is simply indescribable. It's the best way to navigate, being in direct contact with Nature, so absolutely sustainable. An unforgettable experience for the whole family! Remarks: Open water practice. Guests must use sun block, swimming clothes and hats. Zecão is known as one of Brazil's ambassadors to surf.
