Egypt

Located in North Africa, Egypt is a key destination for MSC Cruises liners on our Red Sea itinerary.

Some of the world's most famous monuments such as the Giza pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley of the Kings can be found in Egypt and with so much to see and do, it is well worth joining us on many of our excursion packages.

Your luxury cruise ship will dock in Safaga, Sharm el Sheikh, Sokhna Port, and from here we organise many day trips to the great sights and a guarantee of the best deals. Choose to visit the historic Alexandria itself or spend the day on an outing to the pyramids, the sphinx, and valley temple. Others may enjoy a cruise down the Nile river or even to head out to Cairo, Egypt’s capital city.

The weather in Egypt is temperate year round, in summer the Red Sea coast can get hot, whereas north east winds keep the coast cooler. Arabic is the native language and although not much English is spoken, menus often cater to tourists. The Egyptian pound is the local currency, although US dollars and euros are also welcome.

If you have any left over, bring back souvenirs from your vacation here– toy camels are always fun for children, friends and family may appreciate authentic Egyptian mint tea or a fun pyramid-shaped paperweight!
