PMI01 - CITY TOUR ( approx. 4 hours ) - 2013
Sightseeing tour of Palma with a photo opportunity at Bellver Castle, an historic Gothic fortress. You will have free time in the Barrio Gótico (Gothic Quarter) with a visit inside the Gothic Cathedral, built in 1230 on the foundations of an ancient mosque. Spanish traditions are kept alive at the “Plaza de Toros” where bullfighting events still take place whilst another Majorcan tradition, the creation of imitation pearls, can be witnessed at the pearl factory next door. Majorca pearls have been made on the island since the XIX century and are renowned worldwide for their quality; only experts can tell them apart from real pearls. PMI02 - DRAGON'S CAVES (approx. 4.5 hours) - 2013
Speleology is the study of caves and all those with a keen interest in geology and natural phenomena will be bowled over by what is one of the world’s most interesting cave complexes created by the erosion of the sea. At 2 km long, the caves feature a series of lakes, including Martel Lake, the biggest underground lake on Earth. The atmospheric mood will be heightened by a memorable concert staged on small boats. Back above ground, we will have time to visit the pearl factory at Manacor before returning to the ship. Please note: the visit to the Caves is along steps and slippery ground so this tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair. PMI03 - DINNER AND SHOW AT SON AMAR (approx. 4,5 hours ) - 2013
Spend an unforgettable evening off the ship enjoying delicious Majorcan food accompanied by a fabulous floor show at the “Son Amar”, a typical Majorcan manor house dating back to the 16th century. Situated just 14 km from Palma, a short coach drive is all it takes to whisk you from the ship to this magical evening. The exciting floor show combines art and magic, with the highlight being the extraordinary performances by Carmen Mota’s Spanish Dance Company. The supporting cast includes a range of other illustrious international artists, including flying acrobats. The highly popular “Son Amar” experience has already established an international fan base. This evening out gives you a chance to discover why. Your return to the port and your ship marks the end of the tour. Please note: taking photos and shooting videos at Son Amar is prohibited.

PMI04 - MARINELAND (approx. 4 hours) - 2013
The Majorcan town of Costa d’en Blanes, just a short coach ride from Palma, is home to a superb aqua park that is packed full of great things to do and see: Marineland. This child-friendly excursion promises to be great fun for the entire family. The park’s many attractions include a tropical house and an aviary, a penguarium, an aquarium with sharks, an exotic bird show and a parrot house as well as – of course – the ever-popular sea lion and dolphin shows. You will have enough free time to explore the park on your own and take advantage of its various services, which include a gift shop and a photo service. PMI05 - VALLDEMOSA ( approx. 4 hours ) - 2013
Leave the port and drive to the typical village of Valldemosa to visit “La Cartoixa”, an historic XIV century Carthusian monastery. Wander the peaceful cloisters, the monk’s cells and old pharmacy before continuing to another architectural sight from the same period, King Sancho Palace. In total contrast to the humble monastery, this was built as a winter residence for the kings of Majorca and is an exercise in splendour and opulence; thus it is surprising to learn that the earliest incarnation of the Palace was as a monastery. PMI07 - CATAMARAN TOUR ( approx. 3.5 hours ) - 2013
This tour gives you an opportunity to get a closer look at Palma’s beautiful coastline from a whole new perspective: the water. After boarding a modern catamaran, your trip will take you past Palma’s main sights, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the gorgeous vistas on the way. The route taken along the coast will include a spectacular view of the old port as well as the suburb of Cala Mayor and the pretty coves around the coastal town of Illetas. You will also have some free time to explore the seaside resort of Illetas before returning to the ship. To round off your sailing tour, a light snack and a drink will be served on board the catamaran. Please note: this tour operates from June to the end of September only. PMI15 - DISCOVER MAJORCA (approx. 7 hours, lunch included) - 2013
Enjoy a day onshore discovering the beauty of Majorca. You will leave the port, heading eastwards to the village of Sant Joan, home of Els Calderers de Sant Joan, a manor typical of the Majorcan plain. See what life was like on the manor 200 years ago, with its farming activities, indigenous animals and assorted workshops. Lunch will be served in Sa Gruta Nova Restaurant. The afternoon continues with a coach transfer to Coves Dels Hams (“Fishhook Caves”), located on the east coast of Majorca near Porto-Cristo. Discovered by Pedro Caldentey in 1905, the caves are famous throughout the world for their exquisitely unique dripstone formations. Admire the numerous lakes inside these natural caves, whose incomparable beauty is only deepened by the electric lighting system installed by Pedro’s son Lorenzo. You will then return to the port, concluding this excursion with a panoramic coach ride around Palma. Please note: this tour is available only for guests onboard MSC Sinfonia.

PMI16 - VALLDEMOSA & LA GRANJA MANSION (approx. 6.5 hours, lunch not included) - 2013
Leave the port for the Valldemosa, a typical Majorcan village, and visit the Valldemosa Charterhouse, a 14th century Carthusian monastery. Wander the peaceful cloisters, the monk’s cells and old pharmacy before continuing to another architectural spectacle from the same period: King Sancho’s Palace. In absolute contrast to the humble monastery, the palace is an exercise in splendour and opulence. Built as a winter residence for the kings of Majorca, it also served for a time as a monastery. Your to visit the palace includes a 10-minute piano concert. It will be followed by some free time for shopping or lunch (not included). Then continue on to La Granja, a stunning 10th century mansion featuring a variety of styles from different eras and surrounded by diverse garden, ponds and natural fountains. Witness a model of self sufficiency in medieval Majorca on an estate with infrastructure that was dedicated to agricultural production. We will return to the port afterwards.
