Level of difficulty: moderate  Limited Availability  Snack  This is a panoramic tour of Kiel, the capital of the state of Schleswig-Holstein and a traditional maritime and naval city. During your city tour, you can admire the imposing canal which connects the Northern and Baltic Seas. We will then visit the Laboe Naval Memorial, a monument dedicated to sailor lost at sea during the two world wars. Naval history enthusiasts will be keen to see the U-995 submarine, which served in the German Kriegsmarine from 1943 to 1945, prowling for the North Sea and Arctic for Allied convoys. The memorial also offers a magnificent bird's eye view of the surrounding landscapes of northern Germany. You will have the chance to enjoy a typical snack local to Kiel and a soft drink.

Enjoy a scenic tour of Hamburg past the Alster Lake and the "Speicherstadt" with its pretty canal. These waterways of this region are a popular tourist destination thanks to their winning combination of crystal clear waters, the medieval villages that line the shores and the huge shady forests that contribute to the magical, fairtytale atmosphere. Next we will head for Bosau where a brief stop to take photographs of the Petri Church is scheduled; the church, dedicated to St. Peter, was built in 1151-52. We will continue to Eutin, "City of Roses", where you can explore the gardens of Eutin Castle and stroll the narrow streets around the lovely market place. A typical, light German lunch will be served in Dersau. Return to Kiel.
