IBI07 - THE HIPPIE MARKET OF ES CANAR (approx. 3 hours) - 2013
A short coach drive will take you to the Hippie Market of Es Canar, located on the premises of a popular tourist destination. It all began in 1973 when the resort management decided it would be a good idea to give the local hippies a chance to peddle their goods to a small resident population of tourists spending a few days on holiday in Club Punta Arabi. From the initial 6 stands in 1973, with Maggie selling her wonderful cakes, a lady coming from Formentera offering warm woolly sweaters, another person hawking Indian jewellery and children swapping toys to the rhythm of violins, guitars and jam sessions, the so-called "mercadillo" has since developed into a real tourist attraction on Ibiza. You will have 2 hours to explore the colourful market and the stands that sell every item you can imagine before returning to your ship. Please note: this tour is available only for guests onboard MSC Orchestra.
Price per person $22.00 Adults $22.00 Children
