The ship docks or anchors at the Nouvelle Digue Port of Monaco. The Old Town can be reached via stairs and elevator after a 500-yard walk from the pier. Other sites in Monte Carlo are at a distance of 0,5 to 1 km from the port. Taxis are available pierside.

 MON01 - CANNES & NICE (approx. 5 hours) - 2013
Level of difficulty: moderate  Panoramic Tour  After leaving the port at Monte Carlo by coach, you can first look forward to a 1-hour drive along the amazing coastline of the French Riviera en route to the captivating city of Cannes, a busy tourist destination and the host of the annual international Cannes Film Festival. You will then have some free time to explore the city centre at your own pace. Apart from the lovely old town with its winding lanes, narrow alleys and great views from the castle ruins, other Cannes’ highlights include the yachts moored in the harbour and the wonderful La Croisette seafront promenade with its luxury hotels and boutique shops. After re-boarding your coach, you will then head back along the coastal road to Nice, the capital of the French Alpes Maritime département, which is part of the larger Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. You will then be taken on a leisurely guided walk to discover the main landmarks of this lovely French city, including the famous seafront boulevard known as the “Promenade des Anglais”, so named for the earliest visitors who came to enjoy their holidays at the resort.  MON02 - PANORAMIC TOUR  (approx. 4 hours) - 2013
Level of difficulty: moderate  Panoramic Tour  Give yourself a chance to discover the highlights of Monaco on this enjoyable half-day excursion off the ship, which begins with a panoramic coach ride along the so-called Grande Corniche road – the highest of three scenic coastal routes in Monaco – for a chance to admire lovely view of the Principality from above. Your exploration of this special place then continues on foot with a guided walk around Monte Carlo’s main landmarks, including the splendid Rock of Monaco, simply known as “Le Rocher”. You will also pay an outside visit to the famous Roman Catholic Saint Nicholas Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1875 and houses the tombs of Prince Ranieri III and Grace Kelly. Last up is a visit to the truly resplendent Prince's Royal Palace, which was originally built as a fortress in the 12th century and occupies a huge complex consisting of various buildings displaying very different architectural styles and landscaped gardens.  MON03 - NICE & EZE  (4 hours) - 2013
Level of difficulty: moderate  Panoramic Tour  Shopping  Leave the port and enjoy a 45-minute coach drive to Nice capital of the “Côte d’Azur”. Here we will admire the famous seafront boulevard known as the “Promenade des Anglais”, the legendary “Negresco” Hotel with its delightful rococo façade and pass by the Russian Orthodox Cathedral with its brightly coloured ceramics and six onion domes. Finally we will visit the old town and have some free time on the attractive “Cours Saleya”, a colourful square in Nice old town. Next we will continue to the medieval cliff-top town of Eze. Pass the XIV century double gateway and enjoy a walk through the narrow streets of the town. A stop for shopping is scheduled at the renowned Fragonard perfume factory to learn about French perfume techniques and purchase sample fragrances.  MON04 - EZE, MONACO & MONTECARLO (4.5 hours) - 2013
Level of difficulty: moderate  Panoramic Tour  Shopping  Leave the port and reach one of the jewels of the Côte d’Azur: Monte Carlo. After parking at the Rock of Monaco, you will head up to the old town. The friendly guide will lead you through the narrow uphill streets, past the Oceanographic Museum, the Cathedral where Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III are buried (outside view), and the fairytale Prince’s Palace. You will also get to see one of Monaco’s most famous buildings: the legendary Casino, which stands next to the glamorous Hôtel de Paris. Following a guided tour of the elegant square and the surrounding buildings, you will continue on to the medieval town of Èze, entering via the 14th century double gateway and then walking through the narrow streets. A shopping stop is also scheduled at the renowned Fragonard perfume factory for a chance to learn about French perfume techniques and, if so inspired, to splurge on some fragrance samples.  MON05 - WALKING TOUR TO MONACO'S "LE ROCHER"  ( approx. 3 hours) - 2013
Level of difficulty: moderate  Panoramic Tour  Dig out some comfortable walking shoes and prepare to stretch your legs on an enjoyable 3-hour guided stroll around the highlights of Monte Carlo, an administrative district of the Principality of Monaco. Located on a tiny patch of land on the exclusive southern coastline of France, whatever Monaco may lack in size, it certainly makes up for in the beauty of its surroundings. After leaving the pier, you will first head for Fort Antoine, an early 18th-century stronghold that is now an open-air theatre, until we reach the famous Rock of Monaco, or Le Rocher as it is more commonly known. This promontory overhanging the Ligurian Sea affords splendid views of the city below, the coastline and the deep blue sea. The tour then continues with a visit to Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Saint Roman, a place of Roman Catholic worship that was consecrated at the end of the 19th century. Along the way, you will also pass the Oceanographic Museum, a delightful building dating back to 1901, as well as the “Gardens”. The final call on the guided leg of this tour will be at the central square and the beautiful Prince’s Palace, where you can spend some time watching the changing of the guard. Some brief free time then follows before you return to the pier and your ship. Please note: this tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair. Conservative attire is recommended for visiting sites of religious importance. Taking photos or shooting videos inside the Cathedral is prohibited.
