Directions
When cruising to and from the Venice cruise terminal, your ship will be docked at the Marittima terminal. It’s about a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi or shuttle-bus ride from the Piazzale Roma, the final destination for buses and taxis that enter Venice.

Board a ferry and sail to the island of Murano, famous for its blown glass production and where we will visit a typical glasswork factory. Continue to the island of Burano, renowned for its production of fine lace. VCE02T - MURANO, BURANO & ST. MARKS SQUARE - 6 hours - 2012 We will take a boat to the island of Murano, renowned for its glass-blowing tradition which dates back to the XII century. We will visit the atelier of a renowned glassworker. We will board the boat again to reach the neighbouring island of Burano, characterized by pretty coloured houses and famous for lace making. Upon disembarking the ship you can leave your luggage outside the maritime station and head for the famous St. Mark's Square by boat. Return to the port to pick up your luggage and transfer to Venice Marco Polo airport.Please note: this tour will end at the airport and is only for disembarking passengers with flight scheduled from 16.00 pm.

VCE04D - VENICE DISCOVERY ENDING AT THE AIRPORT - 4 hours - 2012
Upon disembarking you can leave your luggage outside the maritime station and head by boat to the famous St. Mark's Square for a fascinating guided tour around one of the most important Gothic palaces of Venice, the "Palazzo Ducale" - the ancient residence of the "Doge", the city's senior officials. The Palace was built from 1309 to 1424 and was damaged during a fire in 1574. The sympathetic restoration work respected the original Gothic style. Since the XVI century, the Palace has been linked to the prison by the famous "Ponte dei Sospiri", bridge of sighs. Enjoy a guided tour inside the Palace to admire the beauty of its halls. Your guide will point out the Basilica, San Mark's Square and explain the history of the legendary bridge. Return to the port to pick up your luggage and transfer to Venice Marco Polo airport.Please note: this excursion is only for disembarking guests on flights home from 17.30 pm.
