Monaco

Located on the Mediterranean Sea, the tiny country of Monaco on the French Riviera is the second-smallest independent state in the world.

The country, which is French-speaking (currency is the Euro) enjoys an excellent climate and a beautiful settings on the Côte d'Azur. Monaco is famous for many things, notably its legendary casino (which has featured in James Bond films), the Monaco Grand Prix (every May), and as the adopted home of Princess Grace, the American movie star who married Prince Rainer III of Monaco in 1956 (the sumptuous Prince’s Palace can be visited during parts of the year).

Monaco is also known as a playground for the rich and famous, and MSC guests who choose to spend a day away from the ship in Monaco can marvel at the luxury super-yachts that are moored in the marina.

MSC cruise ships call at Monte Carlo, which is the capital of Monaco and you can spend your holiday time here soaking up the glamour of this town or choose to travel further along the Cote d’Azur to neighboring Nice, or the medieval village of Eze.

Due to its stunning location, there are plenty of sights to see in this area and our program of excursion packages offers a full spectrum of activities, from historical sights, shopping in chic Riviera towns, wandering the cobbled streets of hilltop villages or even a day trip out to the perfume town of Grasse.
