The Buon Ricordo Association was founded in 1964 with the aim of safeguarding and promoting local Italian cooking traditions. A unique opportunity to experience on board wine tasting, local cuisine and Italian specialties.
Every evening, one of the following Seven Restaurants will offer our guests unforgettable Italian culinary experience including:
· The Enoteca Del Duca restaurant (Tuscany) will propose the most famous Tuscan soup “Ribollita col colombaccio e tartufo volterrano” (Ribollita with colombaccio and truffle from Volterra)
· The excellent Là Di Moret of Udine with its sumptuous dish “Polente cuinciade”
· The Sicilian Moderno restaurant will present its typical “Scaloppine di cernia agli agrumi di Sicilia” (Grouper Scaloppine à la Sicilian citrus fruit)
· Finally, the Barbieri of Altomonte (Cosenza-Cosenza) will provide us a robust seasonal dish “Lamb with juniper”
· The Petrini and its famous “Piccioncino Notre Dame” (Pigeon Notre Dame) from Paris (France)
· For a touch of exotism, the Japanese chief of "The Bamboo" coming directly from Kanagawa will offer its specialty
· To end up their cruise successfully, our guests are welcomed to join on the last day to enjoy the most delicious dish of the Buon Ricordo Restaurants group L’Obelisco (Gamberoni saltati all’aglio dolce in un nido di spinaci novella con pinoli e caperi - Large shrimps tossed with sweet-garlic on a early-fresh spinach nest with pine nuts and capers).
A limited number of Buon Ricordo plate realized from ceramists of Vietri, Italy, will be offered to guests who will taste the specialty of the day (For this cruise plates are signed on the back “Crociera del Buon Ricordo - Nave MSC Poesia - ottobre 2009”).
For a more interactive cruise, onboard activities will be held such as:
· Wine tasting with oenologists masters such as Genuino Del Duca. The wines are coupled to the typical gastronomical products of the region including the “ Vino della Pace”, a unique friulan wine cellar which contains wine from five continents and six hundred different grapes. A special wine packaging will also be promoted.
· Cooking courses held by the awarded Buon Ricordo’s chef, namely Paolo Teverini, can be attended. Guests will discover the pleasure to cook in preview the gastronomic specialty proposed for dinner. Delicious recipes and a lot of fun guaranteed… Certificates for participants will be given.
