We would like to inform you that MSC Cruises has made some changes to MSC Fantasia’s winter 2013/2014 itineraries from Genoa, starting November 25, 2013. As a result of current unrest in Egypt, and in order to guarantee the safety and peace of mind of guests, we will no longer be calling in Alexandria.
This port of call will be replaced with an exciting alternative destination, the legendary island of Crete, in Greece, which our guests will be able to explore from Heraklion. This beautiful and historic port is the capital of the island and boasts rich archaeological treasures alongside picturesque villages.
The itinerary has also been enriched with an extended call in Haifa, Israel, which will allow for a full two-day exploration of this ancient and spiritual land. The unique programme of shore excursions includes a visit to Jerusalem, crossroad of peoples and religions, the modern and elegant metropolis of Tel Aviv, Nazareth and Bethlehem, bursting with symbolism and historical significance, the ancient fortress of Masada and Galilee, another stunning site of the Holy Land.
