Gothenburg is a popular holiday destination on the MSC Northern European and Nordic cruise itineraries. Your luxury MSC cruise liner can dock conveniently in the deep waters of Gothenburg Port; and from here it is a hop and a jump (walking distance) to the city centre.

Sweden is a great place to vacation, and we can help you maximise your time onshore with a superb selection of excursions that cover the top sights, and guarantee the best deals on the key attractions. Leave the cruise ship and quickly get your bearings with a panoramic city tour, or board another boat for a tranquil canal cruise as you visit ‘Swedish Amsterdam’ from the water. Gothenburg Palace is one of the city’s key sights, along with Gustav Adolf Torg (the city’s political centre) and the Gunnebo House and Gardens – an attractive Neoclassical country estate. The fascinating Gothenburg City Museum depicts Swedish life as far back as 12,000 years ago and is housed in the historic East India Building. Art lovers can while away many hours in the Gothenburg Museum of Art admiring the world’s largest collection of Nordic art, from Larsson to Munch, whilst design-conscious travellers will be quick to head to Gothenburg’s trendy shopping districts, browsing vintage clothes stores or contemporary design boutiques, or sourcing Nordic arts and crafts.
