MSC offers some of the best deals around for memorable cruise holidays and our cruise package to the Caribbean, with its stop-over at St John’s in Antigua, is a ‘not-to-be-missed’ part of your itinerary and vacation.

One of the first sights you’ll see of Antigua, from the exclusive vantage point aboard your luxury cruise liner, are the white Baroque towers of St John’s 19th century cathedral, which dominates the city’s skyline.

As your ship pulls into dock on this English-speaking island you will quickly realise that Antigua & Barbuda is a tropical paradise, as this tropical island boasts 365 stunning palm-fringed beaches, crystal clear waters and almost yea- round sunshine.

Antigua is the largest of the Leeward Islands, a grouping of small volcanic islands in the northeast Caribbean, it is also the most popular and developed.

English Harbour is particularly picturesque, with yachts moored in the historic bay that has been a staging post for centuries. On a holiday to Antigua, a visit to the colourful and lively capital of St John’s is really worthwhile, with its good variety of restaurants and shops. Having only gained independence in 1981 Antigua & Barbuda is steeped in colonial history.

The island’s rocky and coral-filled coastline historically made it hard for enemy ships and outsiders to navigate but visitors can now experience these glorious coves and underwater coral reefs on snorkelling and sailing excursions.

From historical sightseeing to the National Park, a fun pirate-themed day out, canopy rainforest tour, fishing or horse-riding on the beach, we know that St John’s will be great.
